Cessation/Quitting Support Services
You’re taking one of the most important steps to improving your health - quitting commercial tobacco and nicotine product use!
Nicotine is the highly addictive chemical in commercial tobacco products that makes it difficult to quit because it stimulates the release of dopamine, leading to feelings of pleasure and reward. Because nicotine is so addictive, quitting is often a learning process that requires additional support and resources.
Explore this page to access the many valuable services and resources in Washington State (and nationwide) tailored to support you (or your loved one) in quitting tobacco/nicotine product use.
* An important note: e-cigarettes and vape pens are not approved nicotine cessation tools and should not be used for trying to quit using commercial tobacco products. E-cigarette devices often contain high concentrations of nicotine, more than in a pack of cigarettes.*
